Job Description

As the Senior Analyst, FP&A, you will be responsible for creating actionable reports for executive leadership, assisting in financial modeling, and maintaining data integrity across multiple systems. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, your highly visible role will provide ample opportunities to grow professionally, both as an individual and as a valuable member of the Finance team. Your success, through curiosity and a results-driven mindset, will help elevate FP&A team to the next level. Your meticulous attention to detail, proficient finance knowledge, and adept handling of intricate financial transactions will contribute to the seamless financial operations of our company.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting and Planning:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a focus on variance analysis.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business review and Board decks, including KPIs, which will be presented to executive leadership and the private equity firm.
    • Support the month-end close process, inclusive of accruals, reclassifications, and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Conduct revenue analysis by project, industry, geo-location, building type, and other segmentations.
    • Assist with project-level analysis, including revenue, costs, and margin.
    • Assist in the annual budget process and monthly forecasts by working closely with the accounting, executive, sales, production, and supporting function teams.
    • Design and prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by internal stakeholders and the private equity sponsor.
  2. Systems Support: 
    • Become a subject matter expert of company systems and data with a goal to drive process improvements, improve data integrity, and provide better support for our internal customers.
    • Assist in the maintenance of various accounting ledgers (Budget, Actual, Recast, etc.). 
    • Support company-wide system enhancements and integrations.
  3. Work in Progress (WIP) Reviews:
    • Analyze WIP-related entries for accuracy and completeness.
    • Analyze trends in overbilling/underbilling and their impact on AR, AP, and cash flow.
    • Participate in WIP review calls and maintain accurate backlog records.
  4. M&A Related Activity:
    • Support multi-entity reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the executive team and PE firm.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for implementation and on-going integration of OSR’s systems & processes across multiple entities.
    • Provide financial support to acquisition company teams regarding reporting, leveraging systems to their full capability, and other ad-hoc requests.
    • Assist in the creation of 3-statement models for acquisition companies.
    • Provide support during the private equity exit process down the line.
  5. Additional Responsibilities:
    • Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related major is required; an MBA, related master’s degree, or CFA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency across P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet; treasury knowledge a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Tools, especially Excel.
  • Acumatica or similar ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to design and streamline reporting solutions using automation or data visualization. tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, and/or Tableau are a plus).
  • Ability to work independently on a wide variety of projects.
