What This Role Will Do
As a Senior Associate in Energy & Infrastructure Valuation, you will conduct financial and economic analyses for renewable and traditional energy assets, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires a deep understanding of project finance, power markets, and capital-intensive assets. You will support clients in mergers & acquisitions, tax structuring, financial reporting, and investment decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct valuations of power generation facilities, renewable energy assets, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and cost-based valuation models.
- Perform financial statement analysis, market research, and regulatory impact assessments.
- Support clients in M&A transactions, investment strategy, and financing structures.
- Research wholesale power markets, transmission constraints, and energy policy trends.
- Prepare valuation reports for financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and investors.
What Makes You Successful in This Role
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering. A CFA, ASA, or CPA is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years in energy valuation, project finance, infrastructure investment, or financial consulting.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, energy market research, and regulatory compliance.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of power purchase agreements (PPAs), project financing, and energy asset valuation.
- Communication: Strong analytical and report-writing skills for investment committees and legal professionals.
- Work Ethic: Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex financial models for large-scale assets.
