We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechatronics Technical Instructor whose main priority is to lead the training and development of maintenance apprentices and other related courses. The instructor will deliver hands-on and classroom-based instruction, ensuring apprentices gain the technical skills and knowledge necessary to support facility, equipment, and systems maintenance across our operations. This role is essential to fostering a safe, productive, and skilled workforce pipeline.
Position Responsibilities may include:
• Develop, deliver, and assess training modules aligned with maintenance trade standards and organizational needs.
• Provide hands-on instruction in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or HVAC systems depending on program scope.
• Work with subject matter experts to develop or enhance curriculum as required
• Evaluate students’ performance on quizzes, tests, and advise students on academic performance
• Prepare training facility and lab prior to training classes
• Select equipment, materials and supplies needed to run the MECH lab; design learning materials used for lab assignments coordinated with lectures; distribute appropriate materials for student use
• Ensure apprentices adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards, including equipment and tools.
• Maintain training material inventory at assigned location
• Assist in the development of technical training programs, including curriculum and corresponding training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, and manuals
• Provide training support, including communication, promotion and coordination of product and technical training
• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems is a plus
• Proven track record of success in teaching technical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to interact with students of varied backgrounds
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, students and customers
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers; build long-term business relationships; represents the Company’s brand to all customers
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and develop course curriculum
• Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues

• Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative individually

• Prior experience mentoring or training apprentices or junior technicians preferred.

• Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance practices.
Experience:
• 3+ years of experience with technical skill instruction, including maintenance practices.
• 3+ years of facilitating product and technical training
• 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial, facilities, maintenance, mechatronics or related field.
Education/Certification:
• Technical certifications preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field, preferred
