Position Summary
As an integral part of Ready Foods’ vision for a leading-edge infrastructure and smart manufacturing ecosystem, the Senior Systems Administrator plays a key role in driving the company’s digital transformation across both business and factory settings. This position is charged with overseeing the IT infrastructure—including both cloud-based and on-premises environments—and ensuring that enterprise and end-user systems function efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate brings expertise in industry-standard system development, robust cybersecurity practices, and effective troubleshooting within multi-vendor setups, along with a genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering. This full-time role reports directly to the Technology Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for main offices and plants in both a legacy and on-premises IT environment and the modern workplace consisting of office and plant networks, servers and application environments in a hybrid environment.
- Work with cloud technologies, enterprise management systems, and services.
- Work closely with all various functional departments to implement operational requirements for new and existing IT systems.
- Consult with vendors, external contractors, project team members and internal staff to ensure that IT standards are met with hardware/software/security and policies/procedures.
- Ability to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies and procedures.
- Assist in the configuration and management of network and cloud attached devices, monitor performance, Remote Access solutions and security.
- Perform regular data backups and assist in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Monitor IT security alerts and respond to potential threats.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years’ experience analyzing, planning and supporting systems in a large, networked environment with on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems and administration in both cloud and on-prem environments, and associated hardware.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies.
- Working knowledge of IT security policies and integration into network, devices, appliances, and server systems.
- Experience solving technical problems and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
Preferred Skills
- Solid understanding and experience applying manufacturing systems technologies and industrial telemetry.
- Experience with cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure, and SCADA is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge across infrastructure disciplines and technologies with a broad understanding of IT standards and methodologies.
