We are currently seeking an experienced Leasing Specialist to join the team at our 335-unit mixed income apartment community at The Clarendon apartments in Woodland Hills.
Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Property Manager, the Leasing Specialist plays a critical role in managing and facilitating the leasing process for commercial and residential properties within the Corporate Office at QSI, CA01. This position is responsible for ensuring that all leasing activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The Leasing Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the application, approval, and lease execution stages. By maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams, the Leasing Specialist helps maximize occupancy rates and contributes to the overall financial success of the property portfolio. This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional who can balance administrative duties with proactive tenant engagement to support the company’s leasing objectives.

What you’ll do:
Leasing Specialist
- Manage the end-to-end leasing process including marketing available properties, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications.
- Review and verify tenant applications, perform background and credit checks, and ensure compliance with leasing criteria and legal requirements.
- Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements while maintaining accurate and organized leasing records and documentation.
- Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and finance teams to coordinate move-ins, resolve tenant inquiries, and address lease-related issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations and support leasing strategies.
Leasing Specialist Qualifications:
- Certification in leasing or property management (e.g., Certified Leasing Specialist or similar).
- Experience working in a corporate office environment within the real estate or property management industry.
- Familiarity with local real estate market conditions and regulatory environment in California.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple leasing transactions simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills relevant to the local tenant population.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in leasing, property management, or a related customer service role.
- Strong understanding of leasing laws, regulations, and standard leasing practices.
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients.
- Strong communication skills to interact with prospective tenants, answer questions, and negotiate lease terms effectively.
- Attention to detail when reviewing applications, preparing lease documents, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Organizational skills to manage leasing files, track deadlines, and coordinate with internal teams for smooth onboarding.
- Problem-solving skills to address tenant concerns and resolve issues promptly, contributing to tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Candidate must have own transportation (Federal mileage rates and guidelines apply).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain current auto insurance. (Motor vehicle report review is part of the hiring process.)
