UTIA’s Senior Vice-President and Senior Vice Chancellor is seeking a welcoming and reliable administrative specialist to join the UTIA team. The individual in this role is an important ambassador for UTIA; a helpful guide in a sometimes chaotic office; and a provider of essential administrative support. The ideal candidate is a master multi-tasker with a helpful, can-do attitude who enjoys ensuring a seamless and positive experience for faculty, staff, students and visitors that include Agricultural industry leaders, public officials and university leadership.
Responsibilities
This isn't just any role – it's an opportunity to ensure that UTIA is supported through a friendly and customer service minded delivery of your daily work. You will also contribute to UTI’s mission driven culture. Among the many things that you will do are:
- You will be a responsive point of contact and communicative with a diverse group of UTIA VIP guests, faculty, staff, students and the public.
- You will collaborate and plan with many people across the UT campus to help ensure that numerous visible UTIA events are successful.
- You will work to ensure that UTIA’s rewards programs are a success.
- Working with the office’s executive administrator you will provide administrative support for the most senior level UTIA executive leader.
- You will help support the senior leader through ad-hoc assignments and projects.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Three or more years of work in an office environment
- Work experience showing administrative support of an organizational leader
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree
- More than three years of experience in an office environment
Work Location:
- Onsite at UT’s Morgan Hall (this is not a remote or hybrid eligible position).
Compensation and Benefits:
- UT market range: MR05 (non-exempt)
- Anticipated hiring range: $17.00/ hr – $18.50/ hr
