Category Manager

Chicago, IL (hybrid working)

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a passionate and commercially savvy International Category Manager to join our team based in the Chicago area. It is a hybrid working position.

This role is key to unlocking new distribution opportunities, driving category growth, and delivering best-in-class insights and strategy across our retail partners.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering actionable insights and KPI tracking to support business cycles and strategic decisions.
• Supporting market entry and deeper penetration in existing categories through data-driven strategy.
• Managing relationships with insight agencies and key retail partners.
• Driving category growth through product assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising.
• Representing retailer perspectives in internal decision-making and commercial planning.
• Attending trade shows and customer meetings across the US and Canada.

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s Degree (essential).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in CPG category development.
• Proficiency in syndicated and retailer-specific data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana).
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Willingness to work flexibly across time zones and travel as needed.
