Responsibilities:

The GMTIII position is primarily responsible for mid-level Engineering Department maintenance tasks, such as acting as the “First-Responder” to the hotel rooms and public areas, guest calls, HVAC filter changes, Plumbing, Electrical, and preventative maintenance work. Maintenance duties include repairs, upkeep, and property appearance, including hotel rooms, Spa, and office areas. This position can cover a wide range of responsibilities, depending upon the location of the assignment, and is expected to troubleshoot all areas.

 

Preventative Maintenance: Performs general and preventative maintenance: In hotel rooms, offices, common areas, locker rooms, spa and pool areas, gyms and any other area deemed necessary. Scope of maintenance includes but is not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, mechanical, fire/life safety, pool/water chemistry, tile/vinyl work and associated building trades. Assists in reconfigurations of furniture, gym equipment, medical equipment, etc. Performs routine, ongoing preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and repairs, accurately and timely.

 

Service Calls: Responds to service calls, guests and staff requests and performs minor repairs and other assigned project work to include but not limited to internet/WIFI, television/phone, door locks/safes, etc. Refers guest issues or complaints to supervisor according to Canyon Ranch policy. Acts as hotel rooms/public areas guest and CR staff maintenance calls the first responder with a sense of urgency.
 
Project Supervision: Oversees completion of maintenance projects with daily reports to the supervisor.
 
Training: Provides training for new staff
 
Cleaning and Inventory: Maintains a neat work space and storage area for parts and keeps an accurate inventory of parts. Documents, files, and keeps records organized for management follow-up or review.
 
Scheduling: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Qualifications:

Significant specialized experience (6-10 years’ experience in same or related field).

 

Associate degree or two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required.
 
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history
 
 
Certifications/licenses in relevant field; equivalent training will be considered.
 
Work requires regular lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.
