Position Summary:

The Quality and Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality and warranty management for dump body manufacturing. This role ensures that products meet internal and external quality standards, manages warranty claims and root cause analysis, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.

- Lead inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

- Maintain compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.

- Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Warranty Management:

- Manage the warranty claim process from intake to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

- Conduct root cause analysis of warranty issues and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.

- Maintain warranty records and generate reports to monitor trends and reduce recurring issues.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding warranty concerns.

Leadership & Collaboration:

- Lead and mentor quality assurance staff and inspectors.

- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and customer service teams.

- Support training programs to promote quality awareness and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and warranty management, preferably in heavy equipment or metal fabrication.

- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).

- Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) and ERP software.

Preferred Certifications:

- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
