Description
Sunbelt Fire, a leading distributor of apparatus and equipment to the fire industry in the southeast, is growing, and looking to add a full-time, highly motivated Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our growing team at our new branch in Birmingham, AL.
As a Parts Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, assisting customers and our service department, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
This role requires an individual who is passionate about serving those who save and protect our communities, is a team player with a positive attitude, and has a desire to serve our team and customers with integrity, authenticity and hard work.
Requirements
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Front and Back Counter Sales
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Assist customers in identifying and locating parts in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
- Conduct research to identify and source necessary parts to fulfill a customer request
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional manner, including returns of product
- Regularly conduct cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records
- Maintain warehouse, establishing clear bin locations and orderly structure
- Monitor market trends and product availability to anticipate future parts needs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Passion about the mission of Sunbelt Fire, our core values, and serving those who save and protect lives
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a heavy truck or equipment dealership environment
- Proficiency with computerized inventory management systems and basic office software
- Proficiency with salesforce a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
POSITION TYPE: Full-time. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM and periodic overtime is expected to meet customer needs. Limited travel for training or company required events.
