Job Title: AOG Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Manager of Maintenance Control
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and repair defects of non-scheduled maintenance and complete all return to service paperwork.
- Maintain an at-ready status and be prepared for dispatch to a given assignment. Provide AOG recovery support when needed.
- Coordinate on a daily basis with the Maintenance Control Department regarding all current DMIs and Advisory Notices. Provide assistance in troubleshooting and initiating corrective actions for these items.
- Maintain contact with Maintenance Control regarding progress of the current assignment.
- Forward copies of repair information to Maintenance Control as work is completed. Send original paperwork to Aircraft Records.
- Coordinate with Technical Services, Engineering, or any assigned department in an effort to repair defects.
- Provide technical support to all maintenance personnel when needed, e.g. telephone consultation, research, follow-up, etc.
- Monitor current and historical data for chronic or repetitive discrepancies on aircraft systems.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Manager of Maintenance Control.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7 years aircraft maintenance experience on Kalitta Air fleet types
FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate
Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Must have US Passport
Must be a US Citizen
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
