With this comes the necessity of a purchasing agent located in our corporate office.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Purchasing of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components to maintain optimal stocking levels at distribution centers
- Ordering products for customer allocations and proper inventory management
- Resolving discrepancies in shipments and invoices
- Maintaining inventory databases
- Utilizing liquidation channels and following up on orders to assure on-time delivery
- Entering purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensuring quantity and timing of deliveries are managed to meet customer requirements
- Assisting both inside sales and field sales with accurate price, delivery, expediting, sourcing and technical information upon request
- Work in a professional manner to resolve customer’s problems and issues, using all available resources
- The successful applicant must work within well-defined guidelines to accomplish routine assignments and support sales efforts.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior purchasing experience
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in numeric and data entry skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
