Promote Catholic values by fostering a faith-based environment through prayer, reflection, and service.
Serve as a role model for student-athletes by displaying integrity, respect, discipline, and humility consistent with Catholic teachings.
Develop a dance program that supports the physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student-athlete.
Teach proper dance technique, choreography, and performance skills across various styles (e.g., pom, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical).
Plan and lead regular practices and conditioning sessions with a focus on safety, progress, and individual/team improvement.
Choreograph routines for school performances, athletic events, pep rallies, competitions, and community showcases.
Supervise students during all practices, performances, travel, and events, ensuring safety and appropriate conduct at all times.
Supervise the locker room before, during, and after practices, performances, and events to ensure student safety, appropriate behavior, and respect for school property.
Monitor academic progress of student-athletes, ensuring compliance with school eligibility standards and providing academic support when needed.
Maintain open, effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and the athletic department.
Coordinate with other athletic and extracurricular programs to support shared goals and mutual respect among student activities.
Manage the inventory, care, and organization of dance uniforms, costumes, music, and equipment.
Assist with program budgeting and fundraising efforts to support team needs and events.
Attend all required meetings, professional development, and relevant competitions or exhibitions.
Ensure compliance with all Bishop Noll Institute, Diocese of Gary, and IHSAA policies and procedures.
Plan for future affiliation with the Indiana High School Dance Team Association (IHSDTA) by preparing the team to meet eligibility requirements, align with competition standards, and transition from a club to a competitive program within two years.
Serve as a visible and enthusiastic representative of the school’s dance program at community events and public functions.
