Responsibilities fall into two major areas:
- Managing client relationships
- Building strong, healthy relationships with clients and building an understanding of their business
- Being the first point of contact for your clients’ projects, communicating confidently and proactively
- Ensuring that work is delivered to brief, on time and within scope and budget:
- Designing project and programme process and timing plans
- Setting and driving the momentum and pace on projects
- Galvanising and inspiring teams to deliver excellent work, including attending internal in-person meetings i.e. kick off workshops, working sessions
- Preparing for and attending hybrid/in-person client meetings and workshops
- Writing scope of work documents and producing detailed project costings
- Managing project finances and keeping track of scope and budget
- Preparing and maintaining high-quality project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, and presentation materials
- Working with internal teams to sequence and prioritise delivery
- Monitoring project progress, flagging risks, and helping resolve issues proactively
- Managing project resource - coordinating work streams within Leadership & Change and across internal teams:
- Ensuring the right people are involved at the right time, including resource booking
- Writing briefs i.e. for the creative team, and reviewing work against them
- Sourcing and managing third parties
- Helping to grow revenue for your assigned clients by identifying and converting new briefs
- Supporting on pitches and proposals when needed
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience in an account/client/project management role
- Experience delivering strategic, transformation or innovation-based projects (working with strategists or consultants to define a strategy or strategic approach), from drafting the initial proposal through to implementation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and workstreams at once
- Strong commercial mindset and experienced in accurate pricing, scoping and financial tracking on projects
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Credibility communicating with, and presenting to, with mid-level/senior stakeholders
- Experience using Oracle platforms (e.g., NetSuite) for project finance tracking would be beneficial
- Experience in sustainability is advantageous but not essential
Personal Qualities:
- You’re a superstar project manager with incredible organisation and attention to detail. You know your projects’ timelines, commercials and deliverables inside-out, and help to organise other colleagues too. You’re a natural problem solver and love to be hands-on.
- You’re self-motivated. You take ownership of your work, scanning the horizon for opportunities and challenges and getting things done.
- You’re flexible. No one day is the same here, so we’re looking for someone who can throw themselves into any challenge and embraces working on new and different things.
- You’re a people person. You are confident and friendly, and able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. You’re well-versed in presenting to senior clients.
- You care about purpose and sustainability. If you have experience working in this space, it’s a bonus, but not required to be brilliant in this role.
- You’re a strategic thinker. Either you’ve worked on strategic projects before, or can demonstrate a strategic mindset, for example when reviewing project proposals.
