Program Development and Implementation:
Create and manage comprehensive health and safety programs, including emergency response plans and accident prevention strategies.

Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.

Inspections and Audits:
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess compliance, and ensure safe working conditions.

Incident Investigation:
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Training and Education:
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, supervisors, and managers on various safety procedures and regulations.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and timely records of incidents, inspections, training, and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.

Hazard Identification and Control:
Identify, assess, and mitigate safety and health hazards, including chemical, biological, or radiological risks.

Promote Safety Culture:
Lead safety initiatives and committees, promoting a proactive "safety-first" culture throughout the organization.

Liaison with Agencies:
Serve as a point of contact and liaison with regulatory bodies to address compliance issues and facilitate reporting
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Experience working with environmental regulations preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar safety role preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety or environmental management or related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
