POSITION OVERVIEW
This position starts as a Mine Laborer during training and is then promoted to Haul Truck Driver once training is completed. The Entry level position for a Heavy Truck Driver is Mine Laborer- this position is considered a Laborer position within the Mine department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate water trucks.
- Operate haulage ore bearing trucks and haul to waste dumps.
- Physically pull electric power cables.
- Physically assist in installing pumps.
- Work rotating shifts and rotating days off.
- Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
