Description

Position: Cost Accountant

 

 

Position Summary:

 

 

ReturnPro is seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized Cost Accountant with strong teamwork skills. This role will oversee all aspects of internal reporting for designated accounts, including B2B and B2C reporting requirements. Responsibilities also include preparing the company’s budget, conducting cost-reduction analyses, and supporting leadership with various ad hoc requests.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Manage vendor and marketplace reconciliation

  • Manage all B2C sales and service reporting

  • Assist with day-to-day revenue and AR Management activities

  • Assist with accounting for intercompany transactions / rebilling to customers

  • Assist with customer Audit support requests

  • Generates financial analysis reports

  • Engage in ongoing cost allocation and cost reduction analyses

  • Assist in the preparation of the strategic plan, annual budget, and forecasting

  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting to various departments

  • Leverages various software tools to provide flexible reporting and to create processes for efficiency and consistency

  • Prepares and maintains process documentation; and

  • Ad hoc requests from the Accounting Department Managers and the Chief Financial Officer

  • Other duties as assigned or approved by Manager

 

 

 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

  • 5+ years of experience in an Accounting or Finance position

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with SQL is strongly preferred

  • Self-motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills when faced with new challenges

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Strong time management and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner

  • Ability to manage competing priorities

  • Ability to succeed in a team environment
