About this role:
As the Vice President, Team Manager (VP, TM), you will lead a team of analysts within Gartner’s Chief Procurement Officer Practice with a focus on planning content, developing and coaching for insights and positions. You will manage delivery of must-have research and compelling interactions for Gartner’s clients. Your ability to identify opportunities, prioritize critical business needs, set team objectives, drive retention through content, and align value will impact and drive Gartner’s continued growth.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team of analysts in the Chief Procurement Officer practice.
Develop research themes from client demand and shape content plans to solve client challenges and drive retention.
Coach the development of insights and positions leveraging proprietary data.
Drive the content production process and ensure quality of output for CPO Research for team members.
Coach the team to adopt a consultative approach for client interactions and stakeholder influence to impact Gartner’s long-term growth strategy
Build and nurture a collaborative culture focused on research and innovation, data-driven insights, thought leadership, and employee development.
Work closely with your PVP, representing the CPO team in key management, content and research meetings predominantly within the US/EMEA Time zone.
Responsible for coaching and providing feedback, professional and career development, and recruitment, as necessary.
Foster an inclusive and engaging environment and drive Gartner’s commitment to inclusion throughout all aspects of the business: hiring practices, associate development, client service and community support.
Be a collaborative and active member of the broader Procurement Research management team.
What you’ll need:
15+ years of experience working in a research or advisory related role. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
A fundamental understanding and specific Subject Matter Expertise in aspects of Procurement.
An understanding of the role and priorities of a Chief Procurement Officer.
Experience managing, developing, and growing a high-performing team in a large enterprise organization
Ability to manage and meet deadlines by prioritizing demands and coordinating multiple engagements.
Ability to diagnose the root cause of performance to maximize team outcomes.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
Ability to work across multiple time-zones.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 221,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
