General Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate helps with the daily warehouse operations at the direction of the warehouse supervisor/lead.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Confirms availability of items to be sent out by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Pulls material from shelves for packages for the crews.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of material as needed.
  • Operates forklift truck as needed, after passing training.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Helps keep warehouse clean.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Able to show up to work on time.
  • Able to work as a team and independently.
  • Able to stay until all tasks are completed.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Must be willing to operate a forklift.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking and standing all day.
  • Repeat pulling, pushing, carrying, bending approximately 50% of time.
  • Lifting approximately 25 % of the time.
  • Able to climb ladders/ stairs to reach shelves in the warehouse.
  • Able to work in the heat and all types of weather in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
  • Ability to move around the warehouse.
