You will:
- Manage a seven-figure revenue stream for one of SPX FLOW’s most important engineered solutions lines for the nutrition and health market. (Skidded Systems, Greenfield and Brownfield Projects and Systems Upgrades)
- Work across a large array of target customers; our solutions are used in Food and Beverage, Sanitary, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology, and others.
- Work with a great global team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment -- just a couple of reasons we have a high number of long-tenured employees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Americas Commercial Leader, as the Systems Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding influential relationships with end-users, engineering companies and channel partners to maximize sales coverage in their given territories. You will play an integral role in growing SPX FLOW’s revenue and profits, by adding value to our end user customers. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of customers, competitors, industries and trends as they relate to SPX FLOW’s Systems Technology Product Portfolio. It will be your mission to acquire new business opportunities at new and existing customers in order to meet aggressive business growth plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong market and customer focus and be able to translate this into clear business strategies to generate growth. More specifically, you will achieve annual and quarterly goals of order and revenue targets through:
- Effectively prioritizing time and attention to what will generate the greatest growth
- Maximizing sales coverage based on addressable market, industry segments, and key accounts.
- Setting strategic sales plans and support to gain market share.
- Be accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans.
- Work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded.
- Represent Company at trade shows and other professional activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Handle sales of higher complexity.
- Set and negotiate terms with a high level of authority.
- Influence cross-functional teams.
- Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead.
- Solid understanding of business, financials, and products/services.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Schedule, coordinate and conduct Engineering Firm and End-user presentations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of solutions, products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Remain current with relevant internal and external training and development.
- Exhibit proficiency in Consultative Selling, strive to understand the customers’ needs and motives, and be adept at selling the value proposition of the optimal solutions.
- Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of SPX FLOW and competitive products.
- Participation in industry events such as trade shows and seminars.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; Engineering degree a plus
- Technical sales experience of large CAPEX projects
- Ability to influence customers.
- Lead generation and new business development track record
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Great interpersonal, communication skills with strong MS Office skills
Additionally:
- The ability to travel extensively throughout the US territory to develop new business, support customers, and to understand market conditions (estimated 50-60% overnight travel)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own an acceptable vehicle.
