Turning Space into a Transportation Layer for Earth

Who We Are:

Eras of humanity can often be defined by a dominant transportation mode - horse drawn chariots, ocean going boats, or aircraft. These were spurred by a small group of people rigorously focused on building technology to achieve faster access to more of the world.  We seek to usher in a new era of humanity defined by universal access to the whole globe free of borders and the presence of a routine way from space to Earth. To do this, we are building highly maneuverable re-entry vehicles that can loiter in orbit before precision landing back on Earth.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with live tooling.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Select, install, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machining runs, adjust parameters, and ensure parts meet print specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues; recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with programmers to maintain efficient workflows.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC set-up experience with 5-axis mills and CNC lathes.
  • Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, TNC-7, and Haas.
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances up to 0.0001".
  • Proficient in reading/interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
  • Skilled with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.).
  • Experience machining aerospace alloys (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and grow.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with work orders, schematics, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Background in aerospace machining or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within small teams.
  • Prior startup experience is a plus.
