Job Description

The successful candidate will support the management of a portfolio of projects that include hardware and software development, system integration, documentation, and lifecycle support. As a senior member of the team, the candidate will have hands-on responsibility for leading projects, and will work collaboratively across the engineering, product management, and sales organizations to develop cost estimations (labor and material), manage requirements, establish technical baselines, configuration management, process artifact review and approval, risk management/analysis, and project execution management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, project management, and teamwork skills are required.

Essential Functions

The candidates main focus will be to manage the execution of engineering projects that include the following types of tasks/activities

• Design, development, and debugging of software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment.
• Continuous improvement of measurement algorithms, techniques and reporting to improve quality and reduce overall cost.
• Consulting with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques.
• Participation in the development of new software architectures designed to maximize reuse, reduce development costs, and improve software quality.
• Porting of existing test applications to new platforms.
• The candidate will be asked to support existing orders as well as new proposals as we continue to grow our test solutions business.

Projects may occasionally require management of installation and commissioning of test systems at customer facilities.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Project Engineering experience
• Schedule development using MS Project
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Project and Release planning using Atlassian JIRA
• Basic Software Development process knowledge
