Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for operating and monitoring the beverage can filling equipment in a production facility. This includes ensuring accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients, monitoring the filling process, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Works as part of a team to meet production goals while maintaining product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and monitor the beverage can filling equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure the proper formulation of beverages.
- Set up the filling equipment, including adjusting filling levels, seals, and caps.
- Monitor the filling process to ensure consistent and accurate filling of beverage cans.
- Perform quality checks to ensure product specifications are met, including visual inspections and sample testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the filling area, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work surfaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues, such as jams or blockages, in a timely manner.
- Record production data, including batch numbers, quantities filled, and any quality issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate production activities and address any concerns or issues.
Food Safety
Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. If this position is vacant for any significant period of time the obligation for completion of all food safety and quality related tasks will become the responsibility of the direct manager or a qualified designee.

Skills/ Knowledge:
Has learned the basic skills and routine tasks necessary. Beginning to learn advanced skills and gaining an understanding of the total process flow.
Computer Skills:
Must have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
