About the Department
Waukesha County Technical College's School of Protective and Human Services is seeking two highly detailed and motivated Administrative Assistant II’s to join their team to support the departments of Community and Professional Services and Education & Human Services. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Associate Dean, faculty, and staff. As one of the first points of contact, the assistant must possess excellent communication skills and contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Position Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide ongoing administrative support to the department/function to ensure efficient office operations i.e. correspondence, records, reports, calendars, etc.
- Provide support for the day-to-day activities related to the financial responsibilities of the department re: budget, expense reports, purchasing, etc.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of on- and off-campus meetings, events and/or workshops.
- Provide reception support i.e. answer and screen telephone calls, greet and interact with the public, students, faculty and staff.
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities. Provide back-up support services, as required.
- Support College managers in quality and process improvement activities.
- Participate in and contribute to assignments and special projects of a similar nature and level.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Interpersonal communication skills - oral, written and listening
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to attend closely to detailed work, completing and maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work processes
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with computer software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets
- High school diploma and
- 2-4 years of general office experience

Hours
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Interviews
Selected candidates will be invited to participate in a first interview via Zoom prior to an on campus interview on Friday, October 3, 2025.
This position is a fulltime position and will be available to start mid-end of October, 2025.
