Highridge Medical is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead upstream strategy and product development for our Complex Spine portfolio, with focus on deformity, tumor, trauma, and revision solutions. This role will drive the front-end of innovation identifying unmet clinical needs, shaping product concepts, and guiding new product development from ideation through design freeze. The ideal candidate combines deep clinical insight with strategic business acumen to define and deliver the next generation of Highridge’s Complex Spine solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Market & Clinical Insight Development
- Lead voice-of-customer (VOC) initiatives with surgeons and key stakeholders to identify unmet needs and validate product concepts.
- Analyze global spine market trends, procedure volumes, reimbursement dynamics, and competitive landscapes to prioritize opportunities.
- Develop surgeon design teams and advisory boards to guide innovation and product requirements.
- Translate complex surgical challenges into actionable business and technical requirements.
Portfolio & Pipeline Strategy
- Own the long-range innovation roadmap for Complex Spine, including new indications, enabling technologies, and adjacencies.
- Build business cases for new product initiatives, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
- Partner with R&D to define product requirements, design inputs, and clinical use cases.
- Ensure portfolio alignment with Highridge’s broader spine strategy, balancing innovation with profitability.
Product Development Leadership
- Act as the marketing lead on cross-functional core teams for new product development projects.
- Drive surgeon evaluations, cadaver labs, and usability testing to validate design iterations.
- Provide ongoing market input and clinical context throughout development to ensure surgeon relevance and adoption.
- Partner with Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality teams to support design history file (DHF) development and risk analysis.
Innovation & Partnerships
- Identify and evaluate external innovation opportunities (technology partners, licensing, M&A) relevant to Complex Spine.
- Collaborate with enabling technology partners (navigation, robotics, planning software) to define integrated procedural solutions.
- Maintain a strong network with KOL surgeons, societies, and research groups to stay ahead of innovation trends.

- Ability to communicate both orally and in written form with a clear and concise manner.

- Microsoft Office Suite.
- General knowledge of medical device business including the science, products, research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
- Knowledge of orthopedic market, products within assigned group, surgical process, selling process, regulatory process, development process, and marketing strategies.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5–7+ years of experience in upstream product management, marketing, or strategy within spine, orthopedics, or other medical devices.
- Proven expertise in gathering VOC, leading surgeon design teams, and translating insights into product requirements.
- Strong understanding of complex spine surgery (deformity, tumor, trauma, revision) and its clinical challenges.
- Demonstrated success building product business cases and driving portfolio strategy.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
