Hours: 1.0 FTE (37.5 hrs/week), Non-Exempt 

 

 

Overview

The Student Success Teaching Partner is responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for all students by working as part of the Restorative Support Team. S/he embraces the school’s Developmental Designs philosophy and works within that philosophy to help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. 



Responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a member of the Restorative Support and Social Emotional Support Teams
  • Supervising students at arrival, breakfast, lunch, transitions, study, and/or dismissal, during in-school suspensions and use of the SafetyNet Space, and at any time when students are present
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to support students when they are experiencing behavioral or academic difficulties 
  • Serve as a co-advisor 
  • Support with coverage when the Student Success Manager or Dean of Student Culture is absent 
  • Work with other members of the RST team to ensure school is a safe place for students. This may include completing investigations, conferencing with students, monitoring hallways and bathrooms, completing locker searches, and other duties 
  • Review, log, and follow up with referral data 
  • Support the Dean of Student Culture and Student Success Manager with student reentry meetings when needed




Job Requirements:

 

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an education-related field OR Completion of a Teacher Assistant Pre-Employment Program approved by the RI Department of Education and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
  • National background check (after offer)
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
