Duties
Serves as an expert logistics management specialist, concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations.,Involved with the planning, coordinating, and evaluation of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex systems.,Manages the processes of planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating and correcting deficiencies in ILS throughout the research and development process.,Evaluates progress in attaining ILS objectives.,Applying the principles of life cycle management, and as component expert, considers facilities, equipment, geographic/climatic conditions, and usage projections.,Oversees and monitor the planning and implementation of comprehensive DoD component logistics programs to include depot maintenance and integration with safety requirements.,Coordinates with representatives of other components and organizations concerning precedent-setting, controversial, sensitive and complex issues and the impact to military requirements.
Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes: 1) Develops Life Cycle Sustainment plans for an acquisition program; 2) Provides guidance on Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics Product Support to identify requirement or shortages; and 3) Manages integrated logistics support activities to develop and prepare items for fielding.

Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Supply Management Career Field position Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Position may be filled as a term NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
