Job Summary:  
The Lead Behavioral Health Technician directs and manages the daily operations and activities of the assigned programs to comply with all rules, regulations, and policies that apply under the direction of the Program Manager. Provides direct care services to individuals, ensuring safety, support, and therapeutic engagement. In addition to performing BHT duties, the Lead BHT serves as a mentor and role model for other staff, assists with scheduling and training, and supports program operations. This position requires leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle administrative responsibilities. 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serves as a role model, mentor, leader, and/or trainer to BHT staff.
  • Supports the program manager by informing BHT’s of program updates and expectations
  • Pulls and review billed units report daily to ensure BHT’s are meeting the hourly billing requirements of their role
  • Collaborates with Program Manager to identify BHT’s that are meeting productivity and show appreciation and award incentives when appropriate. Identify BHT’s that need support in meeting productivity and provide an improvement plan.
  • Creates a weekly activity schedule for BHT’s to increase member engagement.
  • Closely monitors and requests the required scorecard documents to be collected from clinical teams, for each member, monthly.
  • Conducts training for BHT to meet members unique needs with a client-centered lens
  • Attends and participates in all required leadership meetings, in-person, via zoom, via Microsoft Teams
  • Checks emails, calendars, and required deliverables daily
  • Maintains required records, this includes, but is not limited to, completing required room checks, health surveys, updating the community tracker with member doctor appointments, maintaining current grab-and-go documents, safety checklists, and supply checklists, etc.
  • Complete 100% of Relias trainings before required deadlines
  • Set up and coordinate member staffing as needed or directed.
  • Follow assigned treatment protocol for individuals with diabetes and polydipsia as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring activities and schedules run properly including appointments, groups, and paperwork and documentation is complete in NextGen within 24 hours.
  • Document and submit Incident Reports within 24 hours of incident. Informs guardian of the incident and schedules a follow up staffing with 48 hours.
  • Ensure the assigned duties of staff are completed daily.
  • Oversees resident’s schedules and weekly appointments / activities.
  • Acts as liaison to all agencies involved in care services for residents.
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the home is completed in accordance with department standards.
  • Conduct staff meetings as directed.
  • Responsible for the management of residents’ medications (e.g. maintain supply, supervise passing of medications, and documentation) as applicable per program requirements.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and works as a team.
  • Contributes to quality client care and effective treatment , demonstrating professional conduct in serving individuals.
  • Effectively utilizes verbal and behavioral defusing and de-escalating techniques.
  • Maintains professionalism within the workplace, the community, members/guardian and responds within 24 business hours.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum HS diploma/GED and two (2) – three (3) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
    • An Associate’s degree and one (1) - two (2) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
    • A Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) in the behavioral health field plus one (1) year of relevant experience in behavioral health.
    • Required to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and are able to pass a motor vehicle screen for insurance purposes in order to transport clients.
    • Experience in working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
    • Must be 21-years old
    • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
    • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
