We are seeking a Senior Associate with experience in project finance to join our team.

About the role:

Our Banking & Finance team acts on high profile market-leading banking and finance transactions. We act for all of Australia's major domestic and international banks as well as leading project sponsors across energy, infrastructure and resource projects. 

In this role you will work closely with Amy Maguire, a project finance specialist with over 10 years’ experience advising both sponsors and financiers in relation to major infrastructure projects and acquisitions in Australia. You will also work with Claire Rogers who is head of our Project Finance team and is KWM’s head of ESG. Our Project Finance team acts on the market’s most cutting edge transactions including renewable energy financing, infrastructure acquisition financing, transmission and energy transition related financing, data centre funding, social housing funding solutions and PPPs.

In this role, you will be responsible for varied, challenging, complex legal work across an enviable range of clients. You will work in a friendly, supportive environment where your contributions are pivotal to the success of the team.

You will have:

  • previous project finance experience in an Australian or overseas law firm
  • excellent project management, communication, and drafting skills - to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice and financing documentation
  • strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
  • team focus - to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships
  • enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks

You will be committed to the continuing development of your knowledge and expertise and provide strong mentorship to junior members in the team.
