We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support our wire harness manufacturing operations. This role will assist engineering and production teams by interpreting wire harness blueprints, creating work instructions, and ensuring accurate documentation to drive efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, wire harness assembly experience, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Pay Range: Up to $27.00/hour, based on experience.


  • Read and interpret wire harness blueprints, schematics, and drawings to support production and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for assembly processes.
  • Build and assemble first article samples to validate new harness designs and verify work instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to identify improvements to harness assembly methods.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting blueprint or documentation discrepancies.
  • Assist with documentation updates, revision control, and technical data entry.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to engineering and production support.

Requirements

  

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wire harness assembly.
  • 1–2 years of experience developing or generating work instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience with Zuken, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
  • Prior experience in a wire harness manufacturing environment.

  

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing floor and office setting.
  • Requires standing, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
