Monthly Closing – Prepare and enter journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts
Variance Analysis – Review expenses by financial statement line item for reasonability during close, investigate unusual amounts and make any corrections as necessary
Account Analysis and Audit Schedules – Maintain a monthly account analysis of Balance Sheet
accounts under their responsibility; certify on balances responsible for with Certification Committee, prepare written analysis of balance sheet variations
Budgets & Forecasts – assist in preparation and analysis of annual operating plans
Operational Reviews/Audits – Assist in preparation and performance of monthly financial reviews
Internal Audit – Assist in maintaining proper controls and update process narratives when needed, facilitate and coordinate internal audit requests
External Audit - Assist in preparation of PBC items for external audit team
Process improvement - Document and develop new processes without direct supervision as needs arise
Special Projects – Perform assigned tasks as directed by management and participate in various
committees that may be formed to complete certain tasks or projects
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Accounting degree and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience with strong analytical skills, CPA a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – interpersonal, verbal, written and able to interact well with others in a team environment
Expert Level Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas)
Proficient with Word and PowerPoint and ability to understand, organize and manage data from multiple sources
Problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and prioritize workload to meet team and company goals using good business judgment
Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment
Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and Excel SmartView a strong plus
Ability to take on a substantial workload to lead the team through example
Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
