Summary
Staples end tags onto lumber with a pneumatic staple gun. Moves lumber charges into cylinder to be treated by using appropriate mechanisms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Confirm the proper tags are pulled for each charge and verify with a scan gun.
- Attach end tags to product with hand-held industrial pneumatic staple gun.
- Work the controls of the tram, moving the product in and out of the treating cylinders.
- Keep work area and tag shed clean and free of clutter and debris.
Qualifications:
- Must have good mathematical skills.
- High School diploma or GED
- Be willing and able to work in all types of weather environments (cold, hot, rain)
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Be able to communicate effectively (have clear command of the English language).
- Be willing to learn and have the ambition to advance when opportunity arises.
- Be able to stand, bend, stoop and reach for an extended period of time.
- Be a team player.
- Be flexible (Be willing and available to work overtime as needed).
- Be able to follow directions and understand when to ask questions.
- Must be able to identify problems and communicate issues effectively.
- Have the ability learn the different lumber sizes, grades, and treatments.
- Must have the ability to learn how to identify the correct end tags required to pull for the production run.
- Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
