PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

Ignatius Book Fairs exists to support faith-filled, values-driven literacy in Catholic and mission-aligned schools. We are seeking an on-site third Book Fair Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our host schools to run successful, well-organized book fairs and in ensuring smooth operations across multiple departments. As part of the Operations team, you’ll collaborate closely with our marketing and sales teams to address challenges, improve processes, and keep fairs on pace during our busy fall and spring seasons. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coach and Support Host Schools: Guide school contacts through the planning, setup, and execution of their book fairs to ensure strong results.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from host schools, parents, and volunteers.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain and update data systems, track fair performance, and prepare detailed reports for internal use.
  • Webinar Hosting: Lead and/or assist online training and information sessions for school partners.
  • Project Coordination: Keep multiple fairs on track simultaneously, especially during high-volume seasons.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with marketing and sales to solve issues and enhance the host school experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years experience with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Teams 

CERTIFICATION: N/A  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Comfort with technology, data entry, and online communication tools. Knowledge of Microsoft software a must (Excel, Teams, Word) HubSpot and ClickUp experience is preferable.
  • Customer service experience, ideally in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Experience with event planning, training, or account management preferred.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under supervision.
  • Willingness to serve, and build relationships with the troupe
  • Must possess strong initiative, leadership skills, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask to manage a variety of projects and priorities, coordinating the actions of others, follow through on projects to timely completion, and demonstrate excellent judgment with attention to detail.

Microsoft Office experience with Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Power Point software experience.  

Must support the University’s Catholic mission.  

PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, type and perform data entry, visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information, ability to hear in order to answer telephones and to communicate verbally, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.  

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors at our location in Ave Maria, Florida with minimal safety hazards, and requires seated, standing, movement work and some lifting.
