Summary/Objective: 

 

An assembly team lead would be expected to work on the line with the team.  Lead by example on speed and quality.  Also, would assist Assembly Supervisor on scheduling shipments and style steps to build.   Would also be able to assist with inventory counts to help avoid shortages online.

 

 

 

Essential Functions:  

  • Lead and coordinate a team of assemblers in the production of RV steps.
  • Monitor daily workflow to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering or maintenance teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report on team performance.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

Work Environment: 

  • Indoor work is required. 
  • Working conditions can change based on seasons. 

 

 

 

Physical Demands: 

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift 50 lbs. for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

40 hours per week with potential for overtime

 

 

Travel: 

No travel is required for this position. 

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

 

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the RV industry
  • Knowledge of RV step systems or similar mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
