Part-time Cardiac Rehab RN presso FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc.

Cardiac Rehab RN position that encompasses providing safe, equitable, timely care for patients that meet enrollment criteria into an exercise and disease management program held within a small group setting. This position has the potential to work part-time at Montgomery Memorial Hospital with combined hours to equal the equivalent of a full-time position. 

Completes a comprehensive patient history, collaborates with other health care providers in the provision of care, and revises the patient’s plan of care based on patient outcomes. RN must be able to assess the patient’s condition/status and prioritize needs, efficiently and safely intervene when abnormal responses to the exercise prescription or plan of care are noted and provide emergency care when indicated. Must be willing to learn and safely implement/design individualized exercise prescriptions, in consultation with the Medical Director and ACSM Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologists, following ACSM guidelines and Cardiac Rehab department policies/procedures. Provides small group and individualized cardiac education. Assist with scheduling referred patients and verification of insurance. 

Currently licensed to practice nursing in N.C. (bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.) At least 2 years clinical experience with cardiac patients preferred. ACLS required, telemetry knowledge required.
