📍 Temporary Staff Accountant | Spanish Fort, AL

We’ve partnered with a leading provider of industrial and marine services known for delivering high-quality solutions across shipbuilding, energy, and heavy industry sectors. With a strong focus on safety, precision, and growth, they’re looking to add a Temporary Staff Accountant to their team in Spanish Fort, AL.

This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their career in construction or industrial accounting.

🧾 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Participate in monthly close cycles, reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis
• Provide analytical support and respond to inquiries from multiple departments
• Assist in the development of budgets, comparing actuals vs. forecasts
• Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile charges
• Support internal and external audits
• Manage fixed assets, including CAPEX cost accumulation and depreciation
• Accurately code invoices and manage accounts payable
• Monitor and uphold financial controls, systems, and data integrity
• Tackle special projects as directed by leadership
• Maintain the general ledger
• Reconcile customer accounts and manage accounts receivable collection
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting system

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of related experience
• Bring strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Thrive in working knowledge of payroll and ADP
• Excel at staying accurate under pressure and managing multiple priorities
