MAINTENANCE/ GENERAL CARPENTRY & CONSTRUCTION
REPORTS TO: Facilities Director
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the general maintenance of all district schools and facilities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
- Assists with repairs of facilities and equipment, including building renovation/remodeling
- Performs general carpentry, cabinet making and repairs for all district facilities.
- Repairs and replaces door hardware and windows
- May perform asbestos removal
- Performs general concrete work as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience
- One to three year’s work experience in a related field
- Preferred Skills
- Equipment operator experience: mowers, forklift, skid-steer, lifts
- Hand and power tools (drills, saws, sanders, etc.)
- Basic carpentry experience
- General Expectations

- Maintains a generally positive attitude
- Observes all district policies and procedures
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:
- Colorado Driver's License
ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Noise, dirt and dust, odors and fumes, hazardous materials and situations, temperature extremes.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent lifting 5 to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting 20 to over 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, crawling
