Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Billing Specialist I is responsible for administrative duties, organizing, tracking, and applying as well as reconciling payments to customer accounts. This role involves providing customer service with accounts, balance dues, collections. Reaching out to customers regarding declined charges.
Essential Job Functions
- Works in conjunction with all Company Teams to ensure process compliance, job completion, and customer satisfaction through the billing process.
- Bills and closes all assigned jobs and assists where need be.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all customer jobs.
- Facilitates strict collections process to secure all uncollectible funds.
- Serves as the control point for all customer refunds, verifies proper authorization and processes refunds in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work directly with customers while maintaining a positive experience for the customer.
- Completes all the required Company training/compliance courses assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Performs related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- No prior experience or training required.
- This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. Specifically, for long distances or moving from one work site to another often.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with our without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Hands to Fingers: Picking. Pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of occasionally and/or minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Close Vision: Clear vision at 20 inches or less. Required to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, or visual inspections.
- Focus Ability: Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
