Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain culinary event details: menu items, quantities, overages, allergens, and cost.
- Update events with urgency as needed; communicate time-sensitive changes effectively to culinary teams.
- Collaborate with event sales and detailers to ensure accuracy and compliance in event builds.
- Attend and participate in weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings.
- Manage data entry and recipe accuracy in Food Service Suite; retrieve ingredient and allergen data as needed.
- Ensure consistency between TOAST POS and Caterease, particularly for barista-level offerings and portioning.
- Troubleshoot and report technical or operational issues with Food Service Suite, Flightboard, and Caterease.
- Work independently while coordinating with the Culinary Administration Manager to ensure production accuracy.
- Provide project-based support for the culinary team as needed.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Serve as a Health & Safety Ambassador within the culinary department.
- Stay informed on safety protocols and SOPs; track incidents using internal systems.
- Develop tools and practices to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- College coursework required; degree preferred.
- Culinary knowledge required — either through a culinary degree or equivalent professional kitchen experience.
- ServeSafe Manager Certification or willingness to obtain (provided through Continental).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency and efficiency.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.
- Confident in asking questions, challenging processes, and proposing improvements.
