Our Commercial Underwriting Office is currently seeking a quality assurance manager to lead the development, implementation and execution of a quality assurance process that allows for independent, objective assessments of underwriting skills and practices throughout Commercial Lines, Sales, etc. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for working with R&C and Internal Audit to ensure that all products and services meet standards of quality and compliance (Market Conduct Exams, Statutory Compliance Audits, State data calls, etc.). This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits, and leading a team of QA professionals. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

The pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • help create, communicate, and guide execution of QA vision with the QA team, company stakeholders, etc.
  • work closely with CLD & Sales leadership, including product owners, segment leaders, and the Underwriting Office to maintain effective understanding of priorities
  • assess underwriting performance against defined standards and goals, such as regional plans and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
  • identify opportunities for improvement, including service or quality gaps
  • collaborate with underwriting associates and management on quality control results and action plans
  • ensure continuous improvement in quality assurance processes and associate development

Be equipped with:

  • high degree of underwriting acumen
  • exemplary communication skills
  • analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns or trends
  • critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • cross functional skill set; has experience and knowledge of underwriting, compliance, product, data and analytics and process improvement

Bring education and experience from:

  • minimum of 5 years of experience in Property and Casualty underwriting or equivalent experience in quality assurance
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
