Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Manager to oversee our behavioral health program and services at a 12 bed Crisis Respite facility for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations while promoting a positive and supportive environment for both clients and staff.
Fulltime shift
- Monday to Friday - 7am to 3pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a 16 bed Crisis Respite facility.
- Must be on duty 40 hours per week and must be available by telephone after hours and on weekends.
- On - Call
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of all staff members
- Manage and supervise behavioral health staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Scheduling staff shifts and contacting HR with any staffing concerns.
- Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
- Responsible for assuring that all state standards and facility procedures are implemented, followed and updated as required.
- Have ability to multitask and be able to provide exceptional customer service in a busy working environment.
- Good time management, organization, attention to detail, and computer proficiency are integral.
- Ability to respond with individuals and staff with patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
- Working hand in hand with the Behavioral Health Authority on all issues and concerns of the residents.
- Immediately report all abuse, neglect or exploitation and medication errors to The Wood Group’s Client Rights Officer.
- Performs related work as assigned by Corporate Officers.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a behavioral health setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in behavioral health care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
