Petroleum Customer Service

Job Summary: Responsible for overall customer service for refined fuel, lubrication, and propane business.  

Reports to: Petroleum Office Supervisor


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for balancing daily and monthly inventories.
  • Purchasing and system pricing.
  • Daily invoicing.
  • Add and maintain customer accounts in dispatch and accounting systems.
  • Call handling – transferring calls to the appropriate person when necessary.
  • Assist in the administration of propane operations.
  • Assist with special projects as directed.
  • Provide backup for office staff when necessary.
  • Communicate issues with the Petroleum Office Supervisor.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work area.

 

Special Skills/Training

  • Ability to interact effectively with vendors, customers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to thoroughly operate a computer and other automated office machines.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain both accuracy and speed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

 

Experience/Education

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of prior customer service experience.

 

Physical Requirements

  • No special conditions.

 

Working Conditions

  • Office environment (Mount Angel, OR)
