Internship Overview:
Intuitive Machines is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) team as an intern. As an AI&T Intern, you will work hands-on with spaceflight hardware, contributing directly to the build-up, integration, and verification of flight systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in spacecraft assembly and testing while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the mechanical and electrical integration of spacecraft subsystems and payloads.
- Support functional and environmental testing, including thermal vacuum, vibration, and EMI/EMC tests.
- Help execute and document test procedures, build records, and integration steps.
- Work closely with systems, test, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with configuration and quality requirements.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, verification activities, and post-test reviews.
- Maintain organized documentation and configuration tracking for hardware during the integration lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Certifications and associates backgrounds also welcome.
- Interest in spacecraft integration, hands-on assembly, and aerospace testing environments.
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and how they interact.
- Familiarity with tools such as LabVIEW, Python, or basic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a dynamic aerospace environment.
