About the position:

We are seeking a Global Incentive Compensation Manager to take ownership and oversee the strategic design and governance of our global go-to-market (GTM) compensation programs across Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Business Development, and other revenue-facing teams. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in GTM motion and incentive strategy across revenue generating teams.

Based in Jersey City, NJ, you’ll work closely with leaders in Sales, Operations, Finance and HR, to ensure that incentive programs are aligned to business strategy, drive the right behaviors, and are operationally sound across multiple geographies and roles. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GTM motions, and a passion for building scalable, data-driven compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation Design & Strategy

  • Design and iterate and refine incentive compensation plans & programs for all GTM roles (Sales, Sales Engineers BDR, CS, etc.) in alignment with business strategy and financial targets
  • Support annual planning cycles, including incentive plan modeling, documentation, and stakeholder approvals
  • Facilitate all necessary conversations to ensure key stakeholder alignment on plan details

Plan Administration & Execution

  • Maintain accurate documentation, plan terms, and audit trails to ensure compliance and transparency
  • Provide guidance and training to sales managers and employees during plan rollouts and comp cycles
  • Own the on-time delivery of all compensation plan documents to all parties through partnership with Commission Teams

Data, Tools, & Analytics

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of compensation tools and systems (e.g Everstage)
  • Track and report on compensation performance metrics, attainment curves, and cost-of-comp structures
  • Perform analysis on incentive effectiveness, sales productivity, and compensation ROI

Governance & Process Improvement

  • Develop and document standardized compensation processes and governance policies
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and company policies across all operating regions
  • Drive automation and accuracy in comp workflows, minimizing manual interventions

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, or Total Rewards
  • Hands-on experience managing GTM compensation programs, ideally in a SaaS or software company
  • Proficiency in compensation systems and tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Salesforce)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to analyze large data sets and identify trends
  • Deep understanding of various GTM roles and motions (enterprise sales, channel, inside sales, BDR, CS SE etc,)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and operate with high integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or related certifications a plus)

 

The Salary Range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. At AvePoint, we strive to offer competitive, fair, and equitable total rewards. The listed salary range represents a good faith estimate, with final offers based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. The listed range reflects base salary only; our total rewards include base salary, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, unlimited PTO), and depending on the role, bonuses, commissions, or equity (RSUs).
