Insurance Surveillance Specialist I, Certificate Review presso Arbor Realty Trust

The Insurance Surveillance Specialist I, Certificate Review specializes in working with high profile clients and is responsible for ensuring that adequate insurance coverage exists, is documented appropriately, and paid for all loans that are assigned to their respective department.

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)

This position will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Provide clients with a noteworthy experience by developing meaningful relationships with agents/brokers and borrowers on all assigned accounts.
• Interact with internal and external contacts & premier clients with clear and consistent communication
• Review Investor insurance guidelines and loan documents to establish baseline requirements
• Perform annual review of insurance certificates (Acord 25 & Acord 28) to determine compliance with lender guidelines
• Cooperate with others to resolve insurance deficiencies, and acquire Lender Placed Insurance as necessary
• Disburse escrow funds for timely payment of insurance premium
• Monitor insurance escrow funds for shortages including contacting borrowers to secure funds
• Timely and accurate boarding of new loans into the servicing system as it pertains to insurance escrow items
• Responsible for updating and maintaining insurance data within Arbor servicing systems as applicable
• Provide support to resolve insurance-related inquiries from Borrowers and Insurance Agents
• Review, route, and process all items received via mail, email, and telephone
• Identify and communicate insurance-related issues and trends
• Accurately research and process refunded, returned, and/or stale dated checks
• Assist other teams as needed.
• Timely and accurate validation of new loans into the servicing system as it pertains to insurance escrow items. 
• Process Lender Placement procedure
• Train new associates as necessary.

Qualifications                                               

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience: 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Lines Insurance, Mortgage Servicing, or Escrow.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contribution
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, judgment, flexibility, accountability, and dependability
• Requires excellent communication skills, written and oral, through all levels of the organization
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines

Travel: None

Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
