CG Life is seeking a Group Account Supervisor with extensive marketing experience in the biopharma space, with a proven track record of managing digital and integrated marketing efforts and campaigns. As a Group Account Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding the strategy and execution of projects across various teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet client objectives. This role will support one of CG Life's largest DAOR accounts.
This leadership role will require you to foster strong relationships with clients, mentor junior staff, and drive business growth through strategic insights and innovative solutions. The Group Account Supervisor works within the Client Services department and uses their expertise to provide day-to-day management on their integrated accounts as a client partner.
This role requires the ability to be onsite at the client 2-3 days per week in Princeton, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Client Relationships
- Builds credibility with clients and maintains strong, effective relationships at all levels.
- Communicates regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction while managing expectations of both the agency staff and clients.
- Effectively handles client objections and advocates for the agency’s position.
- Serves as a client steward by upholding their values and business integrity.
- Demonstrates strong presentation skills in various settings.
Account Growth
- Proactively creates upsell and growth ideas and initiates client conversations for new work.
- Support new business efforts by completing assigned deliverables on time and accurately.
Account Finance
- Oversees budget tracking and communicates with clients regarding budget status, including estimates versus actual expenses and percentage completion.
Project Oversight
- Manage and lead the assigned account staff as a trusted advisor on client work while overseeing daily client work.
- Ensure that the agency team has a clear understanding of client expectations and deliverables to maintain alignment and accountability.
- Provide strategic contributions to all projects and deliverables, with a strong focus on evaluating the quality and effectiveness of creative work.
- Oversee the development of project roadmaps in collaboration with the project manager, ensuring that timelines, objectives, and resources are clearly defined and managed.
Leadership & Strategic Guidance
- Exhibits strategic leadership in client management and market analysis.
- Acts as a client steward in all internal and external meetings.
- Demonstrates strategic foresight and initiative regarding client strategy, tactical planning, and reporting analysis.
- Leads and owns tactical planning and budget planning alongside agency partners.
Internal Relationships
- Maintains strong working relationships with all day-to-day functional team members.
- Ensures team cohesion with the Client Services department.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Acts as an expert on agency workflow, ensuring that the team follows established processes.
- Identifies issues and leads efforts to resolve problems effectively.
- Demonstrates and applies a comprehensive understanding of assigned clients and brands, including market dynamics and clinical data.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of key competitors, including their strengths, weaknesses, positioning, and performance, as well as customer insights.
- Attends market research sessions and updates the team on observed trends and gathered insights.
Requirements
- 8+ years of healthcare or pharma agency experience or experience in a fast-paced life sciences/healthcare organization.
- AOR/DAOR client experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently work with senior-level client contacts.
- Ability to manage junior staff.
- Experience growing client accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible and agile, with the ability to quickly change course when the need arises.
- In-depth understanding of the industry (life sciences, biopharma, and healthcare) is preferred.
- Ability to commute and be onsite at the client 2-3 days per week in Princeton, NJ is required.

At CG Life, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the plan.
