Job Description
FAST Labs’ scientists partner with leading government research labs and organizations, including DARPA and IARPA, to develop innovative solutions to modern defense challenges. Our scientists are involved in the entire life cycle of research & development, from the initial concept development and program shaping with potential customers through the execution and transition of research concepts to BAE Systems’ business areas and products. Team members are typically involved in multiple simultaneous programs with roles that run the spectrum of technical leadership, algorithm design, system analysis, software development, customer interaction, or new concept development. Most programs involve small teams of principal investigators and individual researchers.
We are seeking a Cyber/RF Senior Principal Scientist III to support technology areas that may include cyber, networking, RF signal processing, and communications. These technologies are developed to apply to the domains of communications, radar, electronic warfare, signals intelligence, and spectrum organization & optimization. Through innovative R&D technical contributions, your work will help enable the rapid development and fielding of effects across the RF/cyber spectrum for next generation mission support. Our aim is to reduce the timeline to cross the “valley of death” between disruptive R&D technologies and their operational use.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. This position can be based out of our Arlington, VA or Merrimack, NH offices.
