2025-2026 Current Poway Unified STUDENT TEACHER ONLY - Substitute Teacher presso Poway Unified School District

This application is intended solely for current student teachers within the Poway Unified School District, who have been assigned by Human Resources through their affiliated university. To qualify for employment, student teachers must obtain a second set of fingerprint clearance through the DOJ Clearing House and secure a 30-day Emergency Substitute Permit. Please include the name of your Mentor Teacher and the site you have been placed at. Additionally, state the name of your Guide Teacher in your submission.

Interested applicants must follow the steps outlined below; all required documents listed must be attached to your application. *You will need a Teaching Credential or a 30-day Emergency Permit to be a Substitute Teacher with Poway Unified School District* • Resume • Three signed letters of recommendation dated within the past three years • Unofficial copies of your transcripts • CBEST test results (This is not a required attachment in your application, but if you have your results, please include them.) • TB Test Results/X-ray Results Please have the following fingerprints completed before applying:  • DOJ Clearing House Fingerprints (needed for certificated employment with PUSD) 2. General Education: $205/Day, Last day of wk $205, 1/2 Day Sub (3.5hr) $105. Long-Term after 11 days in the same assignment is $225. Special Education: $225/Day, Last day of wk $225, 1/2 Day Sub $115. Long-Term after 11 days in the same assignment is $245.
