Scheduler I / Project

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets.  Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Saber Power Services is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to support scheduling and planning efforts for high voltage EPC projects, including substations, transmission lines, and grid infrastructure. This role is key in ensuring project milestones are met, risks are managed, and resources are aligned across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.

The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and engineering leads to develop and maintain detailed project schedules that reflect the complex, fast-paced nature of high voltage infrastructure work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and update integrated EPC project schedules (engineering, procurement, construction) using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to establish realistic baselines and timelines.
  • Track progress against schedules and provide critical path analysis, float analysis, and recovery plans.
  • Identify and communicate potential scheduling risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, and look-ahead reports to internal teams and clients.
  • Support change order analysis and provide input on schedule impact evaluations.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to align external schedules with internal timelines.
  • Maintain compliance with internal scheduling standards, processes, and project control procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of scheduling experience in an EPC or construction environment, preferably with transmission and high voltage projects.
  • PMP, PSP, or equivalent project controls certification.
  • Experience with substation, transmission line, or high voltage infrastructure projects (69kV – 500kV+).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Schedule Risk Analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong understanding of the full EPC lifecycle and how schedule elements interconnect across disciplines.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
    • Willingness to occasionally travel to project sites if needed
