IPS - Rubbercraft is seeking an Observer (1st Shift) to join the team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observe the operation processes includes material handling, machine and tool maintenance and operations, operator processes.
- Identify and report the non-conformance
- Maintain logs of observations, incidents, and corrective actions
- Assist in audits and process reviews
- Capability to work directly with departmental groups to create and maintain reports
- Accomplished at independently driving the creation and maintenance of Access database systems to provide specific information to identify root cause issues that can be used to reduce overall scrap rates and reduce quality inspection rejection rates.
- Review of paperwork to ensure that all necessary documentation is included and complete
- Drive key quality performance metrics: DPPM, OTD, Cost of Quality, Customer Scorecards, Internal Audit Risk and Effectiveness, Supplier Performance.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
- Able to work weekends and overtime as required
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Graduate
- 2+ plus years working experience in an aerospace inspection environment
- Ability to read and understand the technical documents and follow procedures
- Basic understanding of rubber processing (e.g mixing, extrusion, molding, curing)
- Thorough follow-through and attention to the details
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English language. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Work under deadline oriented environment
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of operating necessary inspection and testing equipment
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
